Transactions of Interest

Building on its principals’ track record with both large and small transactions and companies, Cambria invests equity in a wide array of situations — all characterized by the need and desire for an active equity investor.

Cambria is often the lead investor in a transaction, but has also invested successfully alongside larger, like-minded private equity firms in situations requiring more capital than Cambria alone can provide. Typically, these are transactions Cambria has sourced or situations in which the lead sponsor seeks a value-added partner who can identify potential acquisition candidates for a company with an active acquisition program or who can add value on other dimensions.

The following types of investments are of particular interest to Cambria:

  • Leveraged buyouts
  • Management buyouts
  • Recapitalizations
  • Industry consolidations
  • Growth equity infusions
  • Generational transfers of ownership
  • Companies making strategic acquisitions
  • Shareholder transitions, such as partner retirements or buyouts
  • Restructurings of sound, profitable businesses

Cambria generally does not pursue any of the following:

  • Startups or early stage companies
  • Turnarounds
  • Hostile acquisitions
  • Project investments
